The course was excellent, predominately due to the delivery from Suzie. She was amazing. I have completed this course several times but it is the first time I have really enjoyed it, and clearly understood the content. I now feel confident if required to deliver first aid. Suzie is an exceptional educator. Her knowledge, experience and course content delivery were outstanding. Thankyou for a great day.

There is no denying the importance of first aid in our lives. First aid refers to the immediate or emergency care that is given to a person who is ill or injured before an ambulance arrives. The purpose of first aid is explained in 3 Ps: Preserve life, Prevent harm, and Promote recovery. It is usually performed by a person who had a formal first aid training and who is familiar with the basic first aid procedures.
First aid is an emergency measure, consisting of simple life-saving techniques such as resuscitation and defibrillation. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is one popular first aid technique widely used by many. CPR involves the use of compressions and ventilations to clear a person’s airway, eventually restoring its normal heart function. When a person is not breathing, the first responder is the one who will need to perform CPR.
First aid is a valuable skill for individuals and communities to have. Everyone is encouraged to do first aid training as it makes a profound difference between life and death. With first aid knowledge, we are better prepared to take effective and immediate actions in an emergency. Learn first aid today and start to save lives.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, covering AED (HLTAID001) is a rather quick 2-hour face to face training on how to conduct CPR and how to use the AED machines available at the workplaces and public areas. This course provides good coverage on how to determine unresponsiveness and how to activate emergency services, as well as performing resuscitation. All participants will be trained in accordance with the latest guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).
With the use of AED, you will learn the importance of early defibrillation, casualty placement, and learn proper attachment of the electrodes. Similar to CPR, AED training will be in accordance with the latest release of national guidelines on the use of AED.
Upon completing the course, you will receive a CPR certificate which is valid for 12 months. After that, you will be required to renew the CPR component annually to keep skills and knowledge up to date.
Basic Emergency Life Support or BELS – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (HLTAID010) is a unit of competency specifically designed for people who need more first aid skills than those gained in a CPR course (HLTAID009) but do not need to attend a full Provide First Aid course (HLTAID011). This course will cover basic first aid issues including CPR, use of AED, first aid response including life support, scene safety and casualty management, as well as management of other first aiders. BELS is ideal for managers, supervisors, or those who are in charge of first aid in the workplace.
This course also includes topics of DRSABCD (Danger, Response, Send for Help, Airway, Breathing, CPR, and Defibrillation) action plan, and Emergency Action principle in cases of sudden heart attack, stroke, airway obstruction, bleeding injury, anaphylaxis, asthma, and other medical emergencies.
Completing this 4-hour course will get you a fully accredited first-aid certificate issued on the same day.
Standard First Aid – Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) is a comprehensive 1-day first aid course that comprises of an in-depth approach to performing critical emergency interventions. Formerly known in Australia as Apply First Aid or Senior First aid, this course will equip the participants with both theoretical and practical skills to perform effective first aid, CPR & AED.
Participants will also be provided with safety information and standards we follow in Australia, specifically in Melbourne. You will gain the necessary skills in identifying, planning, and providing first aid to common accidents, injuries, and emergencies.
Candidates who have completed the course will receive a nationally recognised First Aid Certificate which is valid for 3 years.
Accidental injury cases are on the rise for infants and children age zero to nine years old. It is critical for those involved in child and infant care to enrol in a first aid course to learn how to act safely with children, know how to make the environment free of risk, and how to respond if an emergency occurs.
This course is recommended for preschool, day-care, and childcare workers, as well as parents, school bus drivers, nannies, and babysitters (outside of school hours or OOSH). Childcare first aid will cover child and infant CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator or AED with special considerations. This involves a one-on-one CPR demonstration on a manikin to ensure that all participants will get to practice hands-on. Also included in the course content is basic first aid, with a focus on the most common paediatric and childcare emergencies.
This unit of competency has been approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and meets the requirements of ‘First aid asthma & anaphylaxis.’ Gain four (4) certifications upon completing the course including CPR, Basic emergency life support, and Provide First Aid.
